Read this before you submit. It's short, and it covers everything that can hold a request up.
What we can't fund
- Food costs are not funded. No exceptions — plan your budget without them.
- Costume expenses are typically not funded.
- Travel costs are typically not considered unless at least 25% of attendees are College Nine affiliates.
What every event needs
All funded events must allow at least one College Nine affiliate to participate or be present. If your event is closed to College Nine students, we can't fund it.
Request limits
Per the Constitution, organizations outside College Nine may request up to $200.
Want to request more than that? You'll need to include detailed written justification with your request. Without it, the request is returned to you for revision — which means a delay, so include it the first time.
Tips for a smooth review
- Itemize your budget. Lump sums raise questions; line items answer them.
- Show the College Nine connection clearly — who from C9 benefits, attends, or participates.
- Submit early. Requests are reviewed in the order received, and decisions typically take 2–3 weeks.
